One Medicine, One Health Course

One medicine, one health: Emerging diseases and public policy is a seminar and policy development course designed to explore the interrelatedness of human, animal, and environmental health.

Through a combination of guest lectures, class discussion, and small group writing projects, students learn about how human, animal, and ecosystem health are all affected by many of the same factors and how the health of one affects the health of the others. Public policy affecting community health is discussed and new policy initiatives are developed by students.
