On Thursday April 2, 2015, there will be a Promoting Health Equity Symposium put on by the Health Disparities Focal Point. The event will take place at the Beckman Institute from 4-8:30 pm. Dinner and appetizers will be provided.
The keynote speaker will be Dr. America Bracho, the Executive Director of Latino Health Access. Registration closes on March 18, 2015. She and her organization have developed programming around childhood obesity, mental health, parks, community engagement and advocacy and have successfully utilized the Promotora model to do much of their great work.
